Museum Show

The Coachella Valley Cultural and Historical Museum is featuring the Art Committee, showcasing their paintings through the month of May. Mary Minamide and Wanda Boydstun are on my committee and are watercolor artists. I am the oil and acrylic painter so it makes for an interesting and diverse show. We had a great turnout for the artist reception last week. I'll be posting a few pictures. The first is an example of three pieces of work.....one on the left is by Mary, the middle is mine, and the one on the right is Wanda's. The photo of the three of us is in the same order. And the last shot is of my daughter Kathie and granddaughter Hannah and myself. My girls!!!! I am of course very partial to them so did not take a lot of shots of the crowd.

Next Sunday, the 15th, will be an art auction at the Museum starting at 4:00 in the afternoon. Some very fun art pieces will be up for bid and the artists' contributing work, are quite notable. One should be able to find a real treasure at this auction! The Museum is located at 82-616 Miles Ave. in Indio. Information may be gained by calling 760 342-6651. Refreshments will be served so plan on a fun afternoon!!
