Am I tired! Attended my regular Thursday morning painting class - we paint from 9am to 1pm. Today the goal was to use a photograph of shoes we had taken from our closet and paint them on a 9x12 canvas. I chose a very old pair of Tivo sandals that had seen much better days and let me tell you, the whole assignment was a huge challange.


Valentina is the instructor (a master painter). The whole idea is to train one's eye to see shapes and angles. Much like doing a portrait. Finished my painting, except for a few touch ups which I'll do once the oil is dryer, and I find myself drained. It is so amazing how one can get so into the work that hours seem to pass in minutes!


Denise returns in the morning to get me finally entrenched in this new adventure. So looking forward to it!
