Think I'm finished!

There is something constantly pulling at one and that's when to quit a piece of work. I don't think anything is ever finished as one can see a fix needed here and one needed there. And as to portraits.......I feel that the painter puts themselves into the piece and that's why it will never be exactly what one sees when looking at a photo. Amazing. But that's the beauty of photography. Likeness that is accurate. My hope and desire is to capture an essense and impression of an individual. So Tova, you are a beautiful girl and I just hope this painting does you justice. I already see that I need to fix the left side of the canvas.........make the hair pop out a little more..finished??? Maybe not!
