Haven't said much regarding the CV Museum in Indio. I am the Art Director and set up the monthly shows. We just took down Valerie Trozelle's exhibit, which was superb, this morning. Valerie won People's Choice at the Riverside County Fair's Fine Arts Show. Carolyn Cooke will be the March exhibitor, with the Artist Reception next Sunday, March 7th. Carolyn is being honored as she was the Art Director for the museum for many years. She passed away in 2006.
Carolyn had written me a letter in 2004 requesting that I consider taking over for her - I was so blown away that I begged off for a year not feeling that I was in any way capable of filling her shoes. Have learned that one does not 'fill one's shoes' but brings other capabilities to the job. So in honor of Carolyn, I dedicate the month of March. This wonderful lady has provided me a position of growth and for this I shall always be grateful. Thank you Carolyn........
