Painting Problem Solving

Friday already and we still have rain!! I've enjoyed this rain as it is very rare here in the Desert and my roof is still intact! Hooray!
Working with the video was a real challenge on Wed. so Denise is researching options. She wanted to use Movie Maker but it did not want to cooperate. I could not help but think of the comparisons to painting. Often, painting just does not go right. Like the computer and other things in life, painting also boils down to problem solving. With the video, I taped a lesson at DesArts where working with a special French paper one used q-tips and clorox to etch out an art piece. After that process was completed one could use acrylic, colored pencils, etc. to enhance it. I have about 20 minutes and what we are trying to do is to clip and join various parts - in other words to get rid of useless footage. We'll attack it again next Tuesday.
Sketched and painted a still life and began a painting of my two granddaughters yesterday. Will photograph and enter here. I want to loosen up with the girls and not have it so precise. Another problem solving challenge. Love it!
