I'm done! It is to the point that if anyone says anything about Cory's portrait, I am ignoring it. It has been given rave revues and I am pleased now that I did redo his nose and chin. So, whatever Cory thinks doesn't pull so much weight right now with me! I am going in with the painting tomorrow evening when I babysit. My son and his wife are going to dinner to celebrate their wedding anniversary so I am hoping to capture Cory's reaction to his portrait on video. He has only viewed the painting on this blog. Tomorrow he will see the completed canvas. Wish me luck and if all goes as I am expecting, you'll see it!
I began a p0rtrait of my husband this morning as well and I want to tell you that several people who saw the drawing were amazed at how I can capture a likeness. When my husband looked at it he didn't see it........his take was, "Well, it's a start". I am beginning to think we don't see ourselves as others see us...........................?
